One Scrappy Kicker

Once again another showing of the how the morals in professional sports today has taken a great hit. One of the better kickers in the NFL Jeff Reed is in trouble this the law once again. A couple hours after having a nice day kicking two field goals in a win over the Cleveland Browns Jeff Reed's day took a turn for the worse. The issue is still under investigation but the report is , in which he was cited for simple assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after allegedly scuffling with Pittsburgh police officers outside a bar near Heinz Field. The Pittsburgh Steelers kicker has apologized to his teammates, saying he didn't mean to cause a distraction by getting involved in a run-in with Pittsburgh police. Even with this being his second run into with the law in the span of a year Reed will not be suspended. I guess playing against the undefeated Minnesota Vikings is more important than punishing someone for immature wrongful doings.

Hows The Deal Look Now?

Last offseason the Chicago Bears made a swap of Quarterbacks that was supposed to push them to be one of the elite teams in the NFC. In a trade that sent underrated Kyle Orton to Denver and brought Jay Cutler to Chicago it looked like the Bears finally landed the franchise quarterback they've always wanted. Well half way through the season you would look at the stats of the two quarterbacks and ask which one was supposed to be the franchise qb again? Jay Cutler the Pro Bowl quarterback has completed 110 of 172 passes with 1,201 yards, 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions while leading Chicago to a 3-2 record. With a 64.0 completion rate and 240.2 yards passing per game, he is on pace to set club single-season records. One the other hand the Denver Broncos are undefeated largely due to the stellar play of Kyle Orton. He has completed 124 of 194 passes with 1,465 yards, 9 touchdowns and only one interception on the year. With most of Kyle Orton's numbers it raises a great argument of who got the better of the deal? I guess the future will only tell us.

"Captian" Jack

To be the captain of a team is usually regarded as one of the greatest honors in sports. Obviously, Stephen Jackson thinks otherwise. Disgruntled Golden State star Stephen Jackson asked to relinquish his captain title during a meeting Tuesday with Warriors coach Don Nelson and general manager Larry Riley. Jackson went on to say that he does not want to be a role model and that being captain was overrated for him. I think these comments are just ridiculous and are one of the many reasons the Golden State Warriors will never get back to form like they were in 2007 advancing to the second round of the playoffs. Along with the fact that Jackson disband his captain role he also wants out of Golden State again and thinks that it is possible to trade him if the team tried. With all of this being said Coach Nelson still says Jackson is their starting 3 man. Once again proving that their is no real discipline in major sports today and the players basically call the shots. I would not put up with these kind of actions and I definitely wouldn't want a selfish player like Stephen Jackson on my team.

2016 Olympics

This article is about the Olympics that are going to be held in 2016. Contrary to prior belief Rio de Janeiro came out on top and was chosen to hold the stage in 2016. Despite President Barack Obama's attempt to bring the Olympics to his home town in Chicago Rio de Janeiro pulled out an amazing surprise. The question is was it the correct decision? Personally I think that Chicago would have been the best place to have the Olympics do to the great fan base and passion for sports. Also it would have been a great surrounding environment due to the fact of Rio De Janeiro high crime rate. The IOC report said Rio was reducing crime and increasing public safety but noted that Rio is by far the most violent of the four bid cities. There is also a curious lack of hotel rooms in a city known as a tourist mecca. Rio promised to add 25,000 new beds between now and 2016 and said it would make up any shortfall by offering 8,500 beds on docked cruise ships. In the end time will only tell if the decision of Rio was a good one or not.

The Dome Stays

After the season is over the Minnesota Twins are getting a new stadium and waving good bye to the Dome that they play in as of now. Well the Domes life span was extended yesterday when the Twins won the one game tie-breaker to win the American League Central Division. In dramatic fashion as has come to be accustom from the Twinkies this year they won an 11 inning thriller with Carlos Gomez scoring the walk off run. A back and forth battle was just what this game was made up to be. After the Twins coming out of no where to storm back and tie up the division on the second to last day of the year you would not expect anything less. The only bad new coming out of this is that this resilient ball club now has to face the best team in the Majors in the New York Yankees. But I think the Dome and the Twins will take it because once you get in the playoffs anything can happen.

Most Important Peer Review Question

There are many questions that are great to help develop your paper. Throughout the peer review there is not a single question one that isn't important but i would have to say that this question is one of the most important ones: Does the writer include text from the song? Does the writer spend time analyzing those lines? Do you understand the text’s connection to a larger idea or literary concept? What? In writing your paper one of the most important parts of it is connecting the text with the larger idea or literary concept. Plus the addiction of text from the song is mandatory because in order to understand the connection you have to be able to visualize some of the text. Finally, the analysis of the text that is in your paper helps the reading understand what point or theme you are trying to get across.
